Channing Tatum’s ex-wife Jenna Dewan has responded in court to his recent allegations during their divorce procedures, which have been ongoing since June 2018.
Enchanting According to Mike star Channing, his ex-wife is deliberately dragging their divorce, which has been ongoing since 2018. Over the previous two years, he said, the Step Up star had turned down numerous settlement offers he had made.
In response, Dewan’s attorney stated, “Jenna is seeking trial management orders because the first question that must be answered before any of the other matters can be effectively litigated is who owns the story idea that forms the Magic Mike Intellectual Property. This issue would not have to be tried first or ever if Channing had agreed that the Magic Mike Intellectual Property that is now held in two different Property Holding Companies is equally divisible community property.”
“Given [Tatum] professed goal of expediting the trial in this case, [Dewan] renews her request that [Tatum] simply stipulate that the Magic Mike Intellectual Property being held in the two holding companies is equally divisible community property,” the attorney said.
The two, who are parents of Everly, are still at odds about how to divide his large fortune from the Magic Mike business.
When they were still married in 2012, the major franchise’s debut film was released, and the 21 Jump Street actor co-produced it out of pocket. After that, the actor expanded the empire into other motion pictures, a live performance, a reality program, and other endeavors.
Dewan contends that she helped to develop the idea and that community monies were used to produce it. From the supposedly $125 million enterprise, she wants half of the earnings.
The Resident actress also contends that Magic Mike’s revenues are being hidden from her by Channing star and his cronies through a network of LLCs.
