A Family Affair stars 36-year-old Zac Efron and 57-year-old Nicole Kidman as each other’s love interests.
Even now, Zac Efron pinches himself for landing the part of Nicole Kidman’s love interest twice.
For the 2012 crime drama The Paperboy, Efron, 36, and Kidman, 57, first appeared together on screen. A Family Affair, their latest romantic comedy, has the High School Musical alum courting Kidman once more.
Efron acknowledged to People Magazine that he was “very nervous” shooting their first movie together ten years ago.
“Nicole still has my heart. “There’s a part of me that pinches myself when I realise who I’m working with a lot,” he stated, remembering, “I guess that was more evident during The Paperboy because I was a lot younger. Back then, I was somewhat anxious.
“It’s extremely useful when you’re doing this sort of work together because you’ve already got a history together,” said Kidman, who plays mother of Efron’s on-screen assistant (Joey King). ” History is not what you are trying to make. As such, I don’t ask, “Can I touch you?”
“I fell incredibly trusting of Zac,” the actress from Big Little Lies said.
Efron agreed, “We both feel safe and we look out for each other.”
