Pedro Pascal has shared a cast shot from ‘The Fantastic Four’ ahead of the SDCC, marking the start of shooting.
Pedro Pascal has posted the first shot of the “The Fantastic Four” ensemble, which has sparked enthusiasm among Marvel fans. Pascal appears in the Instagram photo with co-stars Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn in London, as well as director Matt Shakman. Filming for the highly anticipated Marvel film is slated to start next week.
Pascal captioned the photo, “Our first mission,” which soon drew attention and excitement from followers. The timing of the photo release led to speculation about the cast’s appearance at Comic-Con. Fans expected the stars to attend Marvel Studios’ event on Saturday, July 27. However, their presence in London indicates that they may not attend in person. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently announced that production would begin “the Monday after Comic-Con,” which may explain their absence from San Diego.
Feige expressed his excitement about the project, saying, “I’m extremely excited because those characters are mainstays, legendary pillars of the Marvel Universe that we’ve never gotten to play with or explore in any significant way.”
Details regarding the film are scant, although it is known that the story will be set in the 1960s, though it might not be our 1960s. In addition to the core cast, Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, also known as the Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson will play Galactus. John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Paul Walter Hauser are also in the cast, though their roles have not been revealed. There is talk that Lyonne will play Alicia Masters, Ben Grimm’s girlfriend.
“The Fantastic Four” is set to be released in theaters on July 25, 2025. With filming set to begin, fans can expect further updates and even some formal announcements at Comic-Con, even if the cast is not physically present.
