Justin Baldoni Unveils Iconic Line Cut from ‘It Ends With Us’ Amid Blake Lively Feud

‘It Ends with Us’ Justin Baldoni reveals beloved dialogue from a 2016 novel that did not make the final cut.

Justin Baldoni, star of It Ends With Us, addresses a famous line deleted from the film amid Blake Lively’s feud.

The 40-year-old filmmaker took to Instagram to share a classic dialogue from Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel, which did not make the final cut for the film adaptation.

He added in a video posted on Friday, August 23, “Something that I know so many fans love from the book that didn’t make it in the movie, was the phrase ‘just keep swimming’ that Lily and Atlas shared throughout the book.”

Dory’s phrase in Finding Nemo serves as a motivational message for the book’s onscreen couple, Lily and Atlas.

However, Baldoni stated that because they were unable to include everything in the adaptation of the 2016 novel of the same name, the actor attempted to pay honor to the quote throughout the film.

“If you watch the movie,” Justin added, “ook in Lily’s bedroom on her wall, there’s a poster. I’m not gonna say what it’s of, but you’ll see a little homage to maybe the movie or the saying if you will.”

It Ends With Us debuted on August 2, 2024, to widespread acclaim from fans worldwide.
