Barry Keoghan Set to Face Off with Cillian Murphy in Netflix’s Explosive ‘Peaky Blinders’ Film

Barry Keoghan, Cillian Murphy, and Rebecca Ferguson will star in the upcoming film.

Barry Keoghan will play opposite Cillian Murphy in Netflix’s highly anticipated film Peaky Blinders.

According to Deadline, Barry,  whose role is kept under wraps, will feature opposite Cillian and Rebecca Ferguson in the Tom Harper-directed film.

Netflix previously confirmed Peaky in June, as Cillian revealed his intention to return to the iconic role of Tommy Shelby.

The film was written by the show’s creator, Steven Knight, who will also produce alongside Caryn Mandabach, Murphy, and Guy Heeley.

Executive producers include Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason.

Interestingly, future films will be produced in collaboration with BBC Films.

When the movie was announced, Cillian released a press statement stating, “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me.… It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Steven also commented at the time. “I’m genuinely thrilled that this movie is about to happen. It will be an explosive chapter in the Peaky Blinders story. No holds barred. Full on Peaky Blinders at War.

Meanwhile, the outlet earlier reported that the story would occur during World War II. Production is slated to begin late this year.
