With her live performances, Sabrina Carpenter is correcting misconceptions.
When a TikTok user said that the 25-year-old pop sensation wasn’t performing live during her Short n’ Sweet Tour, the star didn’t hold back.
Carpenter was shown dancing in the video while her admirers sang along to her hit song, Please Please Please. “Hate to say it 30% lip singing [sic] 30% backing track 40% singing.” the user commented over the video.
On October 1, Carpenter immediately responded, tweeting, “I sing live every show 100% would you like to speak to my audio engineers.”
With multiple of her songs topping the charts, the Taste singer is enjoying the best moment of her career in 2024.
Her singles Espresso, Please Please Please, and Taste all reached the top three on the Billboard Hot 100, with Please Please Please attaining No. 1 in June. Short n’ Sweet, Carpenter’s most recent album, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 in September, further enhancing her success.
Moreover, according to People Magazine, she has officially been added to the TIME100 Next 2024 List.
