Liam Payne reportedly went to an Argentine concert featuring Niall Horan, one of his former bandmates, and in some way stole the show, leaving the fans upset and angry.
Niall and Liam have been pals for a very long period. The two have played a significant part in the success of One Direction, the boy band.
Though the band break in 2015, the members remain close friends.
The 31-year-old Liam made an effort to show his support for Niall during his performance in Argentina. But for some reason, the supporters misinterpreted it. They believe that the former sought attention for himself.
According to Metro.co.uk, a video of the Teardrops singer attempting to communicate with the crowd from the box by hanging over the railing went viral on TikTok.
He continued to sing Summer Lovin’ in support of his friend without faltering. Liam was called a “attention seeker” as a result of the incident.
“Oh Liam Payne you’re never beating the attention seeker allegations.” wrote one of the irate fans in a comment.
“Liam Payne going to Niall to make it about himself are we surprised?” tweeted one person in the meanwhile.
Conversely, several supporters expressed their support for Payne.
