Chris Martin Mocks Coldplay’s ‘Annoying’ Music at Exclusive SiriusXM Concert

A Sky Full of Stars, “Fix You,” and “Viva La Vida” are a few of Coldplay’s greatest successes.

While doing a small-scale SiriusXM concert, Chris Martin, the co-founder of the rock group Coldplay, made light of the band’s age and how much it “Frustrates” fans.

On Monday, October 7, the event was held at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.

The 47-year-old singer said in a conversation with his fans. Thank you all for being here. I know some of you worked with Sirius. I know some of you helped pay for Sirius, but I know most of you just listened to Sirius and we’re so grateful to see you. We’re so grateful to see you.”

“I know that’s annoying for some of you. But once upon a time, even that song ‘Viva La Vida’ was new and everyone in the room was like, ‘What the f* is this? They got s* already, and so, it is amazing that every new song we have lots of people say is terrible.”

And then 10 years later, it’s a worldwide super classic smash. That’s happened maybe three times. So, the other 76 songs were just terrible. The father of two commented.

According to People, Chris’s amusing remarks about his band increased fan engagement.

In addition, Argentine singer Tini, Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna, and Nigerian singer Ayra Starr provided vocals for the song “We Pray” for the well-known boy band.

Chris Martin’s concert was held in honor of Coldplay’s “Moon Music,” their tenth studio album, which was made available on Friday, October 4.
