The 52-year-old actress reminisced about one of her most popular film characters, Jenna Rink in 13 Going on 30, replete with her iconic dress from the 2004 romcom.
Garner recreated an iconic scene from the film in a lighthearted video she posted on social media on All Hallows Eve.
“Happy 20th Halloween, Jenna Rink,” Garner tweeted, lip-syncing to Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody while applying makeup, just like her character did at Poise magazine’s big party in the film.
Garner, who wore Jenna’s sparkling butterfly necklace, added a hilarious twist by wearing raspberry-colored sneakers and striped tube socks instead of the character’s traditional blue heels. She even paused to give her spandex an amusingly puzzled look.
Since its release, 13 Going on 30 has become a fan favorite, following awkward teen Jenna Rink’s yearning to be “30, flirty, and thriving” and the frenetic adult life she miraculously awakens to. Garner’s Halloween tribute evokes nostalgia for fans, many of whom have been celebrating the film’s 20th anniversary.
