Ben Foster filed for divorce from Laura Prepon after they separated in September 2024.
Laura Prepon and Ben Foster’s marriage has ended after 5- years.
Court documents acquired by People magazine show that Foster, 44, recently filed for divorce from the That ’70s Show alum, also 44, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for their separation.
He noted the couple’s official split date of September 9, 2023, and asked the court to preserve their 2018 prenuptial agreement, which guaranteed an “equitable division” of assets and debts. Foster also asked the court to include the couple’s agreed-upon parenting plan and marital breakup provisions in the final decree and that each party pay their attorney expenses and divide any additional court costs.
The couple, who had been friends until becoming romantically connected in 2016, announced their engagement in October and welcomed their first child, daughter Ella, the following summer.
In 2018, Prepon announced their wedding with a touching black-and-white photo on social media, captioned “Just Married! Thank you for all the love and support. Wishing all of us the good stuff!”
Their family grew in 2020 with the birth of their second child, which Prepon welcomed on Instagram with a heartfelt post titled “Welcoming home our new bundle of love.” “I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.”
