Lupita Nyong’o is the latest performer to join the star-studded cast of Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated next film.
Following the casting announcements of Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Zendaya, Variety reported on Tuesday, November 12, that Nyong’o has been cast as the latest addition to the untitled project.
The film’s details are still a mystery, keeping fans eagerly waiting. Production is scheduled for early 2025, with the release date set for July 15, 2026.
The plot and genre have yet to be revealed, leaving fans to speculate on the direction of Nolan’s latest venture.
While Nyong’o, 41, has yet to work with Nolan, she did recently cooperate with Universal on the surprising box office success The Wild Robot, an animated adventure in which she voices the lead character.
The Oscar-winning actress has played a variety of parts, including the lauded portrayal in 12 Years a Slave, the iconic character in Marvel’s Black Panther, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
She also appeared in Jordan Peele’s Us and its post-apocalyptic sci-fi prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One.
In addition to her film career, Nyong’o received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in the 2009 Broadway drama Eclipsed, written by her Black Panther co-star.
