Sabrina Carpenter replies to Adele‘s rare statement about hit track ‘Espresso

Sabrina Carpenter is more than just happy to have Adele as a fan after the music star’s rare confession about Espresso.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, August 22, the 25-year-old voiced her excitement for the Hello singer’s statement while celebrating the release of her new album Short n’ Sweet.

The host praised Carpenter’s tunes, saying, “Your songs have been everywhere the past few months, and people can’t stop singing them.”

The Feather singer laughed and said, “But there was a video of Adele talking about how Espresso was the last thing she thought about before she went to bed.”

The 49-year-old then showed a video of Adele’s Las Vegas residency, where the singer was seen talking with fans at Caesar’s Palace’s Colosseum on May 18.

Adele stated at the time, before performing the lyrics of Carpenter’s chart-topping song, “As I got into bed last night — ’cause that’s a very late night for me, normally I’m in bed by 9 p.m. — I found myself singing, ‘I’m working late, ’cause I’m a singer.'”

“The Sabrina Carpenter song!”That song is my jam.”

The multi-hyphenate diva stated that the 36-year-old’s admiration for one of Carpenter’s own songs left an impression on her mind.
