Amy Robach spoke candidly about a terrible accident that still torments her every 4th of July.
Amy Robach talked about a special 4th of July she experienced as a teenager.
Speaking on the most recent Amy & T.J. podcast episode, the TV presenter dug back into memory and said, “All of those traditions fell off because of one-Fourth of July when I was 14. It is rather severe.
Shen revealed that the festival reminds her of the day her uncle was struck with lightning while he was “up against the tree,” adding, “My parents were blown up next to him, and he just disintegrated. My parents, Mom and Dad, suffered major injuries. They spent weeks of hospital stay.
She further mentioned that her “mom spent weeks in the hospital. My dad was in the ICU, but their tennis shoes blew off their feet.
“Their garments needed to be ripped off from them. My dad had to be put through CPR. She also told her followers that my Uncle Jack finally passed and gave a warning, “Yes, lightning kills.”
“The 4th of July is one of those holidays where everybody’s out and about and it tends to be a thunderstorm-heavy holiday,” she said before calling off from the topic.
