Amy Schumer Abandons Comedy, Unlikely to Make “Sister Comedy” with Jennifer Lawrence

Amy Schumer, a longstanding friend of Jennifer Lawrence, abandons comedy because it “might not resonate as much.”
Amy Schumer has stated that the likelihood of Jennifer Lawrence and herself making a “sister comedy” is quite remote.

In an interview with Variety, the Life & Beth star stated, “I don’t believe it will ever occur.” “It was as though my life continued onwards.” My family was experiencing a difficult period. “I have nothing further to say than that.” “A sister comedy may not have the same resonance now that we are older,” Lawrence, 33, further stated, concurring with her longstanding friend.

“However,” she clarified, “our absolute intention is to collaborate.”

Schumer elaborated on the types of projects the friends are considering collaborating on by stating, “Given our respective career goals, we might attempt something with a bit more determination and fortitude.”

Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story, Jerry Seinfeld’s forthcoming directorial debut, will premiere on Netflix on May 3 and feature Amy Schumer in the lead role.

The actress also expressed enthusiasm for the release of Kinda Pregnant, a film produced by Adam Sandler, and Schumer reportedly assisted in the writing, as reported by Variety. There is currently no release date for the film.

She tells the publication, “I aim for it to be one of the ten funniest films of my life.” “I think it’s going to be as funny as Trainwreck.”
