Ariana Grande, Brandy, and Monica Unite for ‘The Boy is Mine’ Remix

The R&B singers made appearances in Grande’s most recent “the boy is mine” music video as well.

The renowned R&B singers Brandy and Monica have joined Ariana Grande in an official remix of her song “The Boy is Mine.” First released on her album “Eternal Sunshine,” the song was a sample of the well-known Brandy and Monica single.

Given the title of her song, many people first thought it was a cover of the well-known 1998 duet. Grande has accepted the resemblance, though, by working with Brandy and Monica on this remix even if it isn’t a straight copy. Grande revealed on Monday morning that the remix will be published on Friday.

Grande’s just released “Batman”/”Catwoman”-themed music video for the song, which also features actor Penn Badgley, Brandy, and Monica make cameos. Fans of this team were looking forward to the remix.

“The boy is mine / I can’t wait to try him / Le-let’s get intertwined / The stars, they aligned / The boy is mine / Watch me take my time / I can’t believe my mind / The boy is divine / Boy is mine,” the three sings in the chorus.

Grande, meanwhile, has been hard at work marketing her impending appearance as Glinda the Good Witch in the first act of the much anticipated “Wicked” musical film, alongside Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba.

Recently, Universal released the first extended trailer for the movie, which at last featured Grande and Erivo performing two of the show’s anthems, “Popular” and “Defying Gravity.” Release dates for the first movie are November 27, 2024, and November 26, 2025, for the sequel.

Fans, excited to see Grande and the two R&B stars working together, had been looking forward to the remix. The song gains a visual component from the music video, which improves the listening and viewing experiences for both audiences.
