Ariana Grande, an American pop singer and attractive actress who just featured in the most famous musical fiction film, has landed in deep water over a recent remark.
The 31-year-old star’s hilarious quip about “queerness” regarding her latest film Wicked, which was released on November 22, ignited a big internet craze.
Ariana, a legendary actress, played Glinda the Good Witch in the film.
She and her co-star Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, have been making headlines since the recent comic action film’s premiere.
Wicked has always had a special meaning for the LGBTQ+ community because both storylines are about friendship and embracing oneself for who you are.
During her recent interview with GayTimes, the thank you, next hitmaker made a controversial comment about Oz flicks this week while promoting her latest hit.
“Yeah, everyone is just so beautifully queer,” Ariana said.
“And that roots back to the Frank Baum books where like, literally, the most commonly used word in the books is ‘queer’, and it starred queer lovely, beautiful friends and, erm, I don’t know,” according to her.
“It’s just a celebration, and how do you honor that history?”
