Barry Keoghan bravely revealed a big scar on his left wrist, saying it was the perfect time to share it with the world.
The actor posed for a daring cover shoot for Hunger Magazine, revealing his prominent scar.
He opted to show the scars because they had changed him from the inside out, but he would not tell the history behind them.
“I won’t go into how I got this scar, but I’ve got a scar that’s like a millimeter away from the main vein on my left arm,” he told me.
“On one wrist you’ve got my mum’s name and then on the other wrist you’ve got this constant reminder, this scar,” he told me.
After completing the photo shoot, the Satburn actor revealed that it made him extremely emotional.
Regarding the cover, which featured him crossing his wrists and wearing a bracelet inscribed with his mother’s name, ‘Debbie,’ the actor said, “I waited to do this shoot with Rankin to show that.”
“You know, it just felt right,” the actor said.
Barry, 32, lost his mother to a drugs overdose when he was only 12 years old.
