In an electrifying Surprise twist, Bebe Rexha and Tyler Hubbard delivered a Las Vegas performance that will be remembered for a long time. It was, essentially, just ‘Meant to Be’.
Although this year’s Life Is Beautiful festival had no representation of country music in its lineup, Rexha ensured the genre, currently trending on the charts, made a memorable mark. In a move that captivated attendees, the pop sensation invited Hubbard, formerly of Florida Georgia Line, to join her on the JBL Stage for their chart-topping collaboration, “Meant to Be.”
Rexha exclaimed to the enthusiastic audience, “Tyler is such an incredible talent and friend. Our journey with this song has been amazing. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for him being here tonight.”
Fresh from a nearby gig, Hubbard replied, “I just raced here from another show down the road. Thanks for the warm welcome, Bebe,” before hugging her and starting their duet.
Hubbard’s appearance was notable, given his current hiatus from Florida Georgia Line, where he collaborated with Brian Kelley. Earlier in the evening, the artist had enthralled fans at his solo concert at the Red Rock Casino Resort.
In addition to her iconic country-pop fusion hit, Rexha electrified the stage with her EDM collaborations, like David Guetta’s “Hey Mama” and Martin Garrix’s “In the Name of Love.” She also hinted at a possible future venture into electronic music, contemplating a dedicated EDM project, as she revealed to Rolling Stone earlier this year.
Having recently released her album ‘Bebe,’ Rexha is wrapping up a dynamic year of global tours and festival appearances. In the same vein, Tyler Hubbard is concluding the year after releasing his self-titled LP in January.
The Life Is Beautiful 2023 festival also featured performances from industry heavyweights, including headliners The Killers, Blxst, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Flume, Slayer, and Cloonee. As the weekend unfolds, attendees are eagerly anticipating Kendrick Lamar’s performance on Saturday, with Odesza set to conclude the festivities on Sunday.
