Cynthia Erivo Embraces Her Unapologetic Self: ‘Fitting In Is No Longer My Goal

Cynthia Erivo resolves to forgo the pressure of fitting in and embrace her originality.

Cynthia Erivo, a British actress and singer who just participated in the popular musical romance, made a startling confession: she is no longer concerned with fitting into society’s mold.

The 37-year-old diva discussed how she quit trying to push her boundaries against all odds and is now simply embracing her authentic and unapologetic self.

Cynthia recently told Britain’s ELLE magazine, “In my very early twenties, I was trying to fit in.”

“But I remember, early on, walking into an audition, and seeing people going in as the character, and not as themselves. Because they wanted to be seen as the character,” she explained.

The Wicked star went on to emphasize the significance of recognizing who you truly are and how you enter the room.

She went on, “But I feel that if you walk in as yourself, simply totally you, you give anyone watching the opportunity to see you morph; to become a character right in front of them, without the need for a costume. “That’s the magic!”

Cynthia, who just performed in the musical Wicked alongside Ariana Grande, is now attempting to conceal or change her image in order to suit others in the profession, as she has finally refused to change for anyone.
