Hollywood actors Dakota Johnson and Jeremy Allen White have a long-lasting friendship that has survived divorce and the test of time.
Over a recent weekend spent together in Malibu, California, they had a beach day with White’s children and friends. There is a long history between the two actors, Johnson (renowned for Madame Web) and White (known for The Bear).
Johnson is White’s two children’s godmother and close friend of Addison Timlin, White’s ex-wife.
Timlin and White were high school best friends who had met at the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City, before starring together in the 2008 play Afterschool. October 2019 saw the marriage of the pair, however, in May 2023 they filed for divorce.
The Daddio actress and her Coldplay fiancé Chris Martin have been close friends over the years. Johnson was a guest at White and Timlin’s intimate Beverly Hills courthouse wedding.
Early in 2017, after Donald Trump took office, the actor was spotted hanging out with the pair during the Women’s March protest.
Johnson and White are reportedly friends with Cruel Summer actor Blake Lee as well. White attended Melanie Griffith’s 60th birthday party as well.
Johnson, though, strikes me as the most like Timlin.
Timlin even paid Johnson a heartfelt birthday greeting last year. She shared a photo of them sitting on the floor, Johnson feeding a baby with one hand and feeding a baby with the other.
