David Beckham shares a look of the Emmy Award on social media.
David Beckham recently revealed his delight at receiving an Emmy award for his Netflix documentary series.
The former footballer and his wife Victoria were reportedly nominated in five categories, including the 2023 Netflix documentary Beckham: What Makes David Run After It.
The docuseries earned a Creative Arts Emmy for Documentary or Nonfiction Series on Saturday in Los Angeles.
On September 10, David posted a couple images on Instagram, showing off his shiny new award.
In one photo, he appeared overjoyed as he stood in a white t-shirt and blue chinos, holding up the golden trophy.
He captioned it, “Safely back in Office. Still can’t believe we won an EMMY.
Another snapshot posted to David’s Instagram account showed the celebrity clutching the award again, this time next to a photo cabinet in his office that contained nice images of himself and Victoria, as well as his children’s school pictures.
He captioned it: “We did it.”
The Emmy award was eventually accepted by producer Fisher Stevens, who called the footballer during the celebration to inform him of his achievement.
In a video posted on the Emmys Instagram, a mob gathered around Fisher as he video-called David to inform him of his win.
“Alright, David,” Fisher said.
David said, “Unbelievable”.
