From dominating the RuPaul’s Drag Race stage in Season 13 to being an unapologetic fan of the Hocus Pocus series, Symone is making her magical ambitions clear: she’s ready to cast her charm alongside Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy in “Hocus Pocus 3.”
In an interview with EW, while discussing her glamorous return to her high school reunion in full drag, the radiant 28-year-old expressed her wish to join the enchanting world of “Hocus Pocus.” This comes after fellow Drag Race stars Ginger Minj, Kahmora Hall, and Kornbread dazzled as drag renditions of the iconic Sanderson Sisters in the 2022 sequel.
“Hearing about ‘Hocus Pocus 3’ gets me excited. If they’re interested, my line is always open. It’s time to throw my hat in the ring,” quipped Symone, who has never been shy about her love for the Halloween gem. “I’m all in for ‘Hocus Pocus.’ Just bring me on board!” When probed about the role she’d envision for herself, Symone’s answer was immediate.
“Being a witch would be dreamy,” she expressed vividly. “Considering the sequel highlighted the new generation, I envision myself maybe playing a charismatic antagonist, leading my own enchanting coven. Can’t you picture it?”
In a previous conversation with EW, Kornbread revealed that Jaida Essence Hall, the champion of season 12, was also in the mix for “Hocus Pocus 2.” Adding to the behind-the-scenes anecdotes, Kahmora amusingly shared her disbelief upon being chosen. “I had to double-check the email I received. It was surreal,” she exclaimed. “Funny enough, they planned to shoot on the same dates I’d booked for a Disney World trip. I cheekily asked if they could adjust the filming schedule. They responded saying I wasn’t exactly Bette Midler, so I graciously rescheduled my vacation.”
With such intriguing narratives and Symone’s enthusiasm, fans eagerly await the magic that “Hocus Pocus 3” might unfold.
