Director Bobby Farrelly claims Jim Carrey already has a name for new movie.
Jim Carrey’s decades-old franchise has recently received an interesting revamp from director Bobby Farrelly.
While promoting their new comedy picture Dear Santa, the Farrelly brothers, Bobby and Peter, chatted with a publication and revealed some details regarding a new part of Dumb and Dumber, initially released in 1994.
While talking about their upcoming ventures, the brothers stated that they would never rule out the possibility of another sequel.
Bobby said to Collider: “We could never rule out maybe doing another Dumb and Dumber, and this year’s the 30th anniversary.”
“Maybe at the 40th anniversary, just because we love Jim [Carrey] and Jeff [Daniels] so much. We have so much fun making those that we could revisit that, for sure.”
Meanwhile, Peter added that the idea for a new entry has already been discussed, and the Mask actor has proposed a name for the upcoming installment.
“And Jim wanted to call it Gum and Gummier,” he told the director.
The first picture starring Carrey and Jeff Daniels was released in 1994. Later, the comedy film received a sequel in 2014, titled Dumb and Dumber To.
