In a highly anticipated reunion special titled Dance Moms: The Reunion in New York on Thursday, April 25, former Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa discussed her enduring friendship with instructor Abby Lee Miller, who was conspicuously absent from the event.
“In all honesty, Abby, my relationship is fantastic,” Siwa told People Magazine. “I talk to her on a weekly basis. She’s a great human in my life.”
Furthermore, an informant divulged to the media organization that certain cast members had indicated an interest in attending the reunion, provided that Miller abstained from any involvement.
“Everyone has now passed through various epochs, had an opportunity for introspection, and experienced considerable emotional and physical strain with Abby Lee Miller,” the source disclosed in March. “They simply didn’t want to revisit those experiences.”
The insider claims that Miller did not receive an invitation to the event.
In addition, former cast members Chloé Lukasiak, Brooke Hyland, Paige Hyland, Kendall Vertes, and Kalani Hilliker were present at the reunion. Nevertheless, Maddie Ziegler and her sister Mackenzie Ziegler were conspicuous by their absence.
Former cast member Gianna Newborg, who finished second in Season 2 of Abby’s Dance Moms spinoff series Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, criticized Miller on her YouTube channel in 2017 in a retrospective look at the show. Newborg stated, “If I’m being completely honest, she is an evil b****.”
Gianna elaborated that throughout the program, Abby was “extremely disrespectful” to her and her mother Cindy. She asserted, “At this age, I wish I could appear on that show immediately because I could not listen to a single word that woman said.”
Abby Lee Miller, for the uninitiated, established the Abby Lee Dance Company and occupied a prominent position on the reality television series Dance Moms between 2011 and 2019. She has been the subject of numerous allegations of maltreatment from former cast members over the years.
