Initially, Lady Gaga and fiancé Michael Polansky intended to keep their engagement a secret.
At first, Lady Gaga intended to keep her engagement to Michael Polansky a secret, but the French Prime Minister stood in the way of her intentions.
However, in a video posted by French PM Gabriel Attal following her performance at the Opening Ceremony, the pop icon, 38, inadvertently revealed the truth when she referred to Polansky, 46, as her “fiancé” during an Olympic event in July.
The 38-year-old celebrity recalled the occasion when she made an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, stating, “He proposed on April 1st, and I thought he was joking.”
Gaga giggled as she described how the slip happened as they were filming a greeting for the prime minister, despite their plans to keep it secret.
“Then, at the Olympics, we were filmed greeting the Prime Minister, and I was caught on camera saying, ‘This is my fiancé,'” the woman recalled.
In an additional recent interview, Gaga told BuzzFeed Canada how excited she was to have a family with Polansky.
“I’m so happy to be in love, and I’m so excited to have a family,” she exclaimed in response to a question about her long-term goals.
The couple became official in early 2020, having originally gotten together around New Year’s Eve of 2019.
