LISA of BLACKPINK Announces Debut Solo Album ‘Alter Ego’: Release Date and Exciting Details!

The K-pop star has been promising a major project following a succession of highly successful singles in 2024.

LISA of BLACKPINK is ready to share her “Alter Ego” with the world.

After leaving fans guessing about her new mystery project, the 27-year-old starlet officially announced her debut solo album on November 19, revealing that it will be released on February 28, 2025. Her long-awaited record will be her debut as an independent artist outside the famed K-pop group.

Alter Ego’s cover art gives fans a glimpse into LISA’s new character. It depicts her in a hooded expression with ferocious black nails and an intense stare.

LISA also shared a visually spectacular three-minute album video on her LLOUD YouTube page, transporting viewers on a surreal voyage through five diverse locations that, according to a Billboard news release, represent the different characters she portrays on the album. From a volcanic runway to a futuristic cyberpunk catwalk, each scene has its individuality and is connected by a star insignia that represents the five different aspects of LISA.

The album follows a string of hit singles released in 2024, including Rockstar, which peaked at NO.70 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In a recent interview with Billboard, LISA highlighted how much effort she has put into the project, adding, “I think they’re going to be shocked at how capable I am [at] doing so many things.”
