Martha Stewart reacted to trolls following the publication of images of a Maine house’s freshly renovated living room.
Martha Stewart won’t have anyone critique her house.
Stewart responded to and dumped the “harsh judgement” she received after sharing pictures of her brand-new, freshly painted living room, inside her Maine house on Wednesday.
The 82-year-old TV star said she was “surprised” over the nasty remarks her last post attracted on social media.
“I rarely read all the comments that come in after I post but because I was so happy at the transformation of my Maine living room,” Stewart said in the caption and a photo of the area on her personal Instagram profile.
“I did look through many of the comments and was startled at the harsh judgement that many expressed!!!!”!”
“I and my Maine assistants spent three hours moving out the old furniture and putting in the new #we were pleased that the pieces fit the room and were proportionate to the large size of the space,” she said.
Martha also said it “was not a ‘decorator’s’ professional installation; it was an attempt to change swiftly and efficiently.” Making a house a home or a room a pleasant dwelling place requires much more than three hours.
Of course, there will be color, plants, mirrors, a fresh rug, and other artwork and accessories. Stay tuned!!!
“And by the way the birds are chromo lithographs by Carroll Tyson known as the ‘6Audubon of Maine’-so beautiful!” the diva said to wrap up her remarks.
