‘Nosferatu’ Starring Lily-Rose Depp & Bill Skarsgård Praised as ‘Hypnotically Scary’ Ahead of Release

‘Nosferatu’ will enter theaters on December 25.

First reviews for Lily-Rose Depp and Bill Skarsgård’s horror film Nosferatu have been overwhelmingly positive.

The horror classic, directed by Robert Eggers, is a remake of the same-titled 1922 film, which starred Max Schreck, Greta Schroder, John Gottowt, and Alexander Granach.

The all-new 2024 movie incorporates the actor who plays the vampire Count Orlok, who has strong feelings for Lily;  portraying a young haunted woman.

Nosferatu scored 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, which had declined by the time of writing, but the ilmfilmill had a 93% rating from multiple critics.

The Hollywood Reporter described it as ‘hypnotically scary’.

“It’s thrilling to experience a movie so assured in the way it builds and sustains fear, so hypnotically scary as it grabs you by the throat and never lets go.”

Meanwhile, another famous journal, the Independent, says that “Nosferatu not only revitalizes a classic monster, but it reminds us why they exist at all.”

“This is an elaborate, detailed love letter to the original, intelligently respectful and faithful”, according to Guardian reviewers.

The upcoming horror film, distributed by Universal Pictures, co-stars Nicholas Hault, Emma Corrin, Willem Dafoe, and RRalphIneson.

Nosferatu is scheduled for release in theaters on December 25, 2024.
