Oasis vs. Sabrina Carpenter: Who Will Claim the Top Spot on the UK Charts?

Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso,’ ‘Please, Please,’ and ‘Taste’ win the top 3 spots on the Singles chart.

Oasis has made a fresh announcement in response to a “unprecedented demand” that may pose a threat to Sabrina Carpenter.

According to the Mirror, the English rock band announced three additional UK tour dates, noting that Carpenter, 25, debuted at number one last Friday with her latest single, Taste, off her sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet.

She also added another feather to her crown by becoming the first female musician to have both the UK number one album and single, as well as the top three spots on the Official Singles Chart, with Please Please Please and Espresso.

The band, which was created in 1991 by Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll, announced the tour following their reunion after 15 years of feuding, shortly after the On My Way chart-topping accomplishment.

In terms of albums, Oasis’ collection album Time Flies is ranked third, and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, released in 1995, is ranked one spot after Carpenter.

Moreover, their newly released 30th anniversary re-issue of their iconic debut studio album Definitely Maybe has entered the Top 5.

Given their present position on the charts, many speculated that Oasis’ chart-topping comeback could threaten Carpenter’s lead position.
