Olivia Wilde, an actress who became a filmmaker, has revealed why she never gave a damn about accepted or loved in the entertainment industry.
Olivia claims that filmmakers and directors frequently lose sight of their desire to become celebrities or artists at some time.
“Directors have to decide at a certain point whether they want to be a celebrity or an artist,” she said at the Red Sea Film Festival.
The actress from House went on to say: “Social media is making it even more combined to something harmful to the art form.
According to the American star, you have to give up taking any chances when acting and filmmaking choose to clash.
“When you conflate filmmaking or acting with large-scale acceptance, you immediately cut off every opportunity to do any risky work.,” Wilde stated in a statement.
“Therefore, it was important to me to never become overly focused on being accepted or loved,” the 40-year-old revealed.
In 2019, Olivia Wilde directed her first film, Booksmart. She played a significant part in the 2022 movie Don’t Worry Darling, which she also directed. Harry Styles, his ex-boyfriend, also starred in the movie.
