Paul Mescal and Barry Keoghan Tapped for Sam Mendes’ The Beatles Biopic

The families of McCartney, Starr, Lennon, and Harrison have given them complete access to the musicians’ tales and music rights.

Sam Mendes is putting together a quartet of related biographical films that are all about different Beatles members.

According to recent reports from film industry expert Jeff Sneider, the actors lining up to play each member of the legendary band may have been revealed.

Sneider mentioned that the films will star Harris Dickinson (known for “Triangle of Sadness”) as John Lennon, Paul Mescal (famous for “Normal People”) as Paul McCartney, Charlie Rowe (recognized for “Gigi & Nate”) as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan (renowned for “Saltburn”) as Ringo Starr. Official sources haven’t confirmed the casting report as of yet.

Sam Mendes will direct all four installments of the “Beatles Cinematic Universe,” it was announced in February.

Every single film will mostly focus on the personal and professional life of a certain member of the beloved rock ‘n’ roll band. All four are set to be released in 2027, so fans won’t have to wait long periods of time between releases.

Beatles fans will be even more thrilled to learn that McCartney, Starr, and the families of Lennon and Harrison have given the movies unrestricted access to the musicians’ life stories and music rights.

When the films were announced, producer Pippa Harris said, “We intend this to be a uniquely thrilling and epic cinematic experience: four films, told from four different perspectives, which tell a single story about the most celebrated band of all time.”
