Max has revealed the first look at The Last of Us season 2, which stars Pedro Pascal and Catherine O’Hara.
On Sunday, August 4, Max released a trailer highlighting all of their new and returning shows, including clips from the highly anticipated second season of the critically acclaimed series based on the popular video game franchise.
Pascal returns as Joel, while O’Hara’s character remains a mystery.
According to Entertainment Weekly, she is most likely portraying a newly created character rather than one from the video games.
In the teaser, O’Hara’s character confronts Joel, asking him, “Did you hurt her?” “What did you do? This is most likely referring to Bella Ramsey’s character Ellie.
The teaser then cuts to an action-packed montage, emphasizing not only Joel’s actions but also the intense events of the second season.
Joel just said, with a tear flowing down his cheek, “I saved her.”
The first season of The Last of Us was based on the 2013 game, while season two will follow the events of the 2020 sequel, The Last of Us – Part II.
There is currently no launch date for the upcoming season.
