The first album by Pixie Lott in 10 years is about to be released.
After 10 years away, Pixie Lott shared her opinions on the state of the music business and how it affected her next album.
Over the years, the 33-year-old multihyphenate artist revealed, the music business has undergone tremendous transformation. The pop singer considered how the business has changed over the past ten years and is excited to release her album Encino later this year.
The blonde beauty, who is married to model Oliver Cheshire, revealed her opinions on music exclusively to Daily Mail.
“It seems crazy that it’s been ten years because I just don’t know how that’s happened – like, I have done lots of different things throughout the ten years but I never meant for it to be that long to release an album,” she said.
Despite being dragged into learning new algorithms in the business, Lott maintained that she felt that “the music industry has changed so much” and that it feels “like I’m still kind of learning the ropes because my brain is still on how it was before.”
Extending her views on the matter, Pixie declared that “charts” are out of date.
Opening up about her new album, she concluded: “It’s all changed as well in the sense that people are releasing songs all the time. It moves at a really quick clip, and this record is the exact antithesis of that.”
