Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Shocking Setback in Netflix Deal Amid Poor Reviews

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Fear Losing Their Lucrative Deal with Streaming Platform.

Following the release of their polo documentary, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly having trouble.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who secured a five-year deal with Netflix in 2020, are facing poor reviews for their latest venture. This unexpected outcome could put their partnership with the platform at risk.

Despite its promise to highlight the “true depth and spirit” of the sport, Meghan and Harry’s five-part series, which was released worldwide this week, has not been able to achieve the intended outcome.

Nick Ede, a brand expert, has cautioned that the documentary might be the final nail in the coffin for their profitable collaboration with the streaming network.

The expert voiced worries about the documentary’s reception in an interview with MailOnline.

“The new polo documentary hasn’t received good reviews, and this is another foray into producing from Meghan and Harry,” he stated.

The royal couple itself receives relatively little screen time in the series, which mostly centers on athletes like Adolfo Cambiaso and Nacho Figueras.

Harry and Meghan co-executed the documentary series as executive producers. Concerns regarding the project’s viability have been raised by the absence of the pair and the minimal PR promotion.

Ede cautioned that their future with the network will depend on how well the show did in the top 10 on Netflix.

“It could, like the Invictus documentary, start well due to the public’s fascination with the pair and with polo potentially,” he said.

But he said it would probably have trouble competing with popular Christmas content. We don’t see the couple very often due to their limited exposure, and there isn’t much publicity for the show, this looks like it’s Oh No! Rather than Polo!”

After leaving their position as working royals, Harry and Meghan agreed to a five-year Netflix contract in 2020.

“We are still waiting for the new food show from Meghan,” Ede said, alarmed by the lack of excitement surrounding their current projects.

The Expert links Whether the network will extend the contract when it expires next year is still up in the air, thus the couple’s business endeavors could be vital to the future of their collaboration with Netflix.
