Robert Pattinson’s Mickey 17 Faces Yet Another Release Delay – Now Set for April 2025

‘Mickey 17’ was initially set to be released on March 29, 2024.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson’s latest film, Mickey 17, has been put back again.

Previously, the picture was scheduled for release on January 31, 2025. However, the release date has been delayed. The film will now be streamed in IMAX on April 18, 2025.

One of Warner Bros.’ spokespersons told Variety about the scheduling changes. In a statement, the source stated: “When the April 18 date became available, we quickly moved to secure it for Mickey 17.”

“We’re thrilled with the new date, and very happy the film will be available to audiences in IMAX.”

Mickey 17’s release date has faced delays before. Originally set for March 29, 2024, the film’s release was pushed back due to challenges caused by the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, impacting production timelines.

Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey 7, which will be released in 2022, serves as inspiration for Pattinson’s film.

According to the film’s synopsis: “Whenever there is a task that is too dangerous, even suicidal, the team goes to Mickey. After one iteration dies, a new body is created with the majority of his memories intact.

“Mickey understands the terms of his deal… and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it.”

Mickey 17 also stars Mark Ruffalo, Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, and Toni Collette.
