In his appearance on the most recent episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Ryan Gosling disclosed the first autograph he had received.
Ryan Gosling has disclosed that he has been an Angela Bassett fan for over 13 years and counting.
On Thursday, the 43-year-old actor took part in a questioning section on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The host inquired of Gosling whether he had ever asked a well-known person for a autograph.
When I first asked [professional wrestler] The Ultimate Warrior, he declined. But Ms. Angela Bassett was the first person to give it to me, the second person I asked,” the Barbie star replied.
“I was 13 years old. The movie What’s Love Got to Do with It recently came out. Speaking of the 1993 movie where the 65-year-old actress played Tina Turner, he recalled, “It was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen, and still is.”
According to Ryan Gosling, Angela Bassett, and actor/comedian Sinbad were in an AMC movie theater when he happened to run into her for an autograph.
“I’m not sure whether they were together or not. They were conversing,” he said in passing.
