At the New York Film Festival, Selena Gomez discusses her new film “Emilia Pérez” with co-star Zoe Saldana.
Selena Gomez recently shared the advice she would give her younger self during the New York Film Festival.
The Only Murders in the Building star advised her to “I would tell her just to calm down, everything’s going to be fine on the other side.” in an interview with E! News.
“It’s a bit overwhelming being in this industry for so long,” claimed the 32-year-old.
Selena was questioned by the interviewer about her highly anticipated Oscar film, Emilia Pérez, at other points in the interview.
The singer and actress said, “I am grateful. I think this movie hits all different cylinders. It’s enjoyable and it’s passionate. It’s just been a blessing.”
It’s quite dynamic and essentially follows the experience of four ladies. And it’s been a blessing, so it’s an honor to even be in that group,” she continued.
Selena also discussed her thoughts on collaborating with Zoe Saldana on the upcoming film.
She reminds me of Mama Bear. The singer went on, “She’s the sweetest soul and she was great to do scenes with.”
“She was always talking me through it,” Selena said. She was an amazing lady.
Selena noted that although the film was “musically” she’s not sure “when I am going to get back in the lab”
“I am enjoying the acting side at the moment,” she said.
