‘Spider-Man 4’ new director elicits conflicting responses.
The Spider-Man 4 update has drawn interest from fans worldwide, leading them to express their opinions about the next MCU flick.
Although they disagree with the notion that it will impact a different character’s impending sequel, fans are already supportive of the upcoming sequel.
Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man adventure will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings, taking Jon Watts’ place, as was revealed in September.
Fans expressed a range of emotions in a recent Reddit discussion about their thoughts on the fourth installment of the MCU series.
“Great choice and apparently he’s taking with him the fight choreographer from Shang-Chi,” remarked one user.
“Considering how well he did for Shang-Chi I think American Born Chinese for action and story (at least the story for Shang-Chi),” another person added. Even though Spider-Man 4 is another multiverse film, I don’t think Destin will make a mess of this.
Some people, however, criticized the director’s decision, arguing that it would result in a new tone for the sequel rather than a straight-forward continuation of Shang-Chi.
