Superman Director Breaks Silence with a ‘Promising’ Update, Teases Big Surprises Ahead

James Gunn shares amazing Superman franchise news.

Fans are going crazy over director James Gunn’s most recent announcement on his next installment in the franchise.

Variety claims that the director revealed the information in observance of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month in October.

Krypto will appear on the “screen in Superman this summer,” according to Gunn.

He said, “Krypto was inspired by our dog Ozu, who we adopted shortly after I started writing Superman,” even as he acknowledged his appearance. Ozu was troublesome to say the least because he was raised in a backyard with 60 other dogs and had never interacted with people.

“I recall thinking, ‘Gosh, how difficult would life be if Ozu had superpowers?'” the Superman filmmaker recalled a previous experience.

“#AdoptAShelterDog month is the ideal time to introduce the not-so-good-good-boy Krypto. By the way, Ozu is usually a really good boy these days.

For those who are unaware, Krypto has not yet appeared in a live-action DC movie, but he has been in several animated ones.

The dog superhero will first appear in a motion picture with David Corenswet’s Man of Steel. He will then co-star with Milly Alcock in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
