Tom Hanks’ $50M Film Here Bombs at Box Office, Suffering Major Loss

Tom Hanks’s latest film Here faces a massive crash at the box office.

Tom Hank, an American actor and filmmaker, is currently depressed and unsure how to cope with such a big loss at the box office.

The 69-year-old actor’s most recent picture, Here, which cost a massive $50 million to create, bombed, earning only $5 million in its first weekend.

According to Zemeckis, the film’s failure can be attributed to its attempt to create a new cinematic experience.

Said Zemeckis: “I have to give all the credit to (former Miramax Head) Bill Block who had the courage and had the vision to understand the movie and make it.”

“He’s the one guy who had the conviction to do this. That was fantastic. Thank God that he was there to do it” he said.

He explained that the theatrical movie busniess is in a bad state right now and that many directors and filmmakers are facing the same hurdles.

The fantasy drama Here, which premiered on November 1, is based on Richard McGuire’s 2014 graphic novel and stars Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, and Michelle Dockery.
