The seventh season of Summer House took fans on an unexpected journey, as Danielle Olivera and her longtime friend, Lindsay Hubbard, found themselves at odds. Central to their discord were differing viewpoints about Hubbard’s relationship with Carl Radke.
However, when the time came for Hubbard’s bridal shower with Radke in August, Olivera’s presence indicated a potential for reconciliation. The dynamics took another twist when Hubbard, 37, and Radke, 38, decided to call off their engagement later that summer. Olivera, however, remained steadfast, extending her support to her friend during the challenging time. Speaking to PEOPLE, she revealed, “Lindsay and I have patched things up!” Their rejuvenated friendship took center stage during the filming of Summer House’s 8th season.
Going into the season, Olivera was determined to breathe fresh life into their bond. “Rather than retracing our old steps, I wanted us to craft a new path,” she remarked. This proactive approach paved the way for many of their past grievances to be addressed and resolved over the summer. Reflecting on their reunion, Olivera felt it was a touch intense but essential for their relationship’s growth.
The bond between the two was further cemented last month, as Olivera joined Hubbard along with castmates Sam Feher and Gabby Prescod in The Bahamas. What was initially planned as Hubbard’s bachelorette party turned into a testament to their renewed connection. “It feels as if our friendship has transformed. Amid all the drama, this new beginning feels like a blessing in disguise. Our relationship now feels more grounded and genuine,” Olivera commented. Their strengthened bond is evident as they’ve been seen attending numerous events in NYC, from celebrating the 20th anniversary of Little Ruby’s West Village to a delightful dinner at Point Seven.
During their dinner, Olivera highlighted that the conversation wasn’t hung up on their past but revolved around lighthearted subjects, with RHONY being the evening’s hot topic. Sharing her enthusiasm for the upcoming BravoCon in Las Vegas, she’s particularly eager to meet the new face of Real Housewives of New York City, Sai De Silva.
Expressing her admiration for Sai, Olivera shares, “There’s something about Sai that resonates with me. It might be our shared heritage. I’m enamored by her outspokenness and the fiery spirit she embodies. I’ve often felt my zest is misinterpreted. It’s on my agenda to get acquainted with her.” Fans can tune into the latest episodes of Winter House on Bravo, airing every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
