At a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Dune actress Zendaya alluded to a possible return to the music industry.
The 27-year-old actress said, “I love music, and it’s been special to me,” when questioned about her love of the medium.
She did, however, freely acknowledge that negotiating the music business presented difficulties and caused her to reevaluate. “It didn’t kill the joy of music,” Zendaya said, “but it happens when you combine music and business. It cannot always feel this wonderful.
Zendaya emphasized the need for timing by saying, “If there were a moment, maybe I would, you know, put out a little something,” to which the audience applauded. She warned, quite comically, ““Don’t get crazy! We’ll see, but maybe one day.”
Recognizing Zendaya‘s comment, the show host said, “We’ll hold on to that, that’s good enough.”
A self-titled studio album was previously published by the former Disney star in 2013, but she quickly left the music business because of what she called “bad contracts.”
Zendaya has occasionally worked with musicians, most notably Labrinth for the critically acclaimed show Euphoria, despite her break from solo music pursuits.
