Actor Sebastian Stan of “Avengers: Endgame” was surprised by his mother’s criticism of his acting.
Sebastian Stan’s mother gave him some unexpected advise.
In an open discussion with Colman Domingo on Wednesday’s episode of The A24 Podcast, the Avengers: Endgame actor revealed his mother’s criticism of his acting and a piece of advice she gave him.
“My mom, okay, I love her, but here’s what she said to me when she visited recently,” Stan, 42, added. “Yeah, yeah, everything’s fine,” I said. I really appreciate it. “II have to tell you something, but don’t get upset.'” she then says.
He questioned, apprehensive and curious, “What’s the problem?” He said, chuckling, pointing to his forehead, “I know you’re an actor and everything, but maybe you can express a little less.” His mother laughed. “She’s like, ‘Get some moisturiser!'”
Stan thought, “I think it’s a good thing for us to have,” despite his mother’s opposition, since it makes it easier for him to switch between different emotions efficiently.
The actor was reminded of his mother’s mom’s candid feedback flashed in the actor’s mind following Domingo praised Stan for his expressive facial expression in his latest film, A Different Man.
Stan plays Edward in the comedy-thriller. Edward has a rare genetic disease that results in tumors growing on his face.
Currently showing in American theaters, A Different Man will be released in the UK on October 4, 2024.
