Lizzie Cundy Slams Meghan Markle for Prioritizing ‘Publicity Over Charity’ at LA Gala

Last weekend, Cundy and Meghan attended the same event.

Lizzie Cundy said of Meghan Markle, “looking like she’d swallowed a wasp,” as she attracted a lot of attention during her most recent public appearance.

Cundy, 56, had a first-hand interaction with the Duchess of Sussex last weekend at the LA Children’s Hospital Gala.

After meeting at a charity event in 2013, the two had a nice friendship, but their dynamic has now changed significantly, with Cundy becoming more outspoken in her criticism of Meghan.

In an interview with Nana Akua for GB News, she indicated that their most recent meeting produced no fruit in terms of possible reconciliation.

“I bet she was delighted to see me” Cundy mockingly said.

It’s one of Los Angeles’ largest charity functions. The Hollywood elite attend this once-every-two-year event. It’s the occasion to be noticed at.

“Names like Jamie Lee Curtis were mentioned. When a large security presence appeared when we were all on the red carpet, it was Meghan, wearing a dress that looked similar to mine. Hers cost a great deal more than mine did.

“Everyone looked  very shocked. It seemed like she was only there for the picture op, but I had hoped she might do something for the charity—perhaps give a speech.

She didn’t stay long; at one amusing moment, a woman requested to take a selfie, and her face gave off the impression that she had just swallowed a wasp.

“She needs LA but LA has had enough of her. She’s cooked a goose there.”

Cundy did not hold back as she persisted in her criticism of the duchess for attending the hospital’s awareness-raising event.

She said to Nana Akua, “She makes it all about herself.”

“This organization works so hard to help the kids, but Meghan makes it all about her.

“The other stars are so gracious and it’s a shame Meghan can’t take a leaf out of their book.”

After meeting Prince Harry, Cundy says Meghan “ghosted” her.

She said in an interview with the Daily Mail that after word spread of her engagement, the duchess cut any contact with her.

“She ghosted me once the engagement hit. She’s ghosted quite a lot of people, obviously, including her family, so I’m not the worst person she’s ghosted, she said.

Alliance of Moms co-founder Kelly McKee Zajfen accompanied Meghan on the red carpet.

After posing with Zajfen, she gave a hearty hug to Paul Viviano, the CEO of the healthcare leader.
