According to a BT from the new Peaky Blinders film, Tommy Shelby’s return hints at being more brutal.
Behind-the-scenes pictures from the upcoming Peaky Blinders film show that Cillian Murphy‘s Tommy Shelby will face even more drama and violence.
On Monday, November 4, the Daily Mail said that the Oscar-winning actor was observed filming near Manchester, hopping on his horse with his face soiled by a bloody gash.
In addition to the blood, the 48-year-old leader was plastered in muck from head to toe, riding a sleek black horse in his signature Shelby attire.
Murphy reprises his iconic role as Shelby, a figure who is neither a perfectly good guy nor a callous villain, from the critically acclaimed BBC series from 2013 to 2022.
In this highly anticipated film, the Oppenheimer star is joined by new cast members Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, and Tim Roth.
It was announced in September that Keoghan, who is rumored to be dating Sabrina Carpenter, has joined the cast.
Though details about the Saltburn actor’s character are unknown, fans have been looking forward to seeing him on television alongside Murphy.
In June 2024, Netflix announced that the film had been greenlit and would begin production later that year.
Later in June, it was reported that Peaky Blinders’ original writing and directing team, as well as Murphy, will return for the upcoming film adaptation of the famous British series.
