Star of Call Me By Your Name Armie Hammer sneers at critics over cannibalism accusations in 2021
Following accusations of cannibalism by his ex-girlfriends, Armie Hammer has clarified things.
Call Me By Your Name star replied to the two 2021 charges in the podcast Painful Lessons’ Sunday edition.
“I was dubbed a cannibal, and everyone believed them,” he claimed on the program. They say, ‘That guy did eat people.’ Say, what? What do you prefer? What does one need to be a cannibal? You must eat folks! How on earth am I going to become a cannibal? Strange.
In July 2020, Hammer, 31, who shares two children with Elizabeth Chambers, filed for divorce, and he also said that he was feeling suicidal at the time.
“It was a career and an ego death. My life experienced a neutron bomb explosion. That killed off [everything],” he declared.
‘He wants to break my rib and BBQ and eat it,’ his ex Courtney Vucekovich told Page Six in January 2021.
Effie Angelova, 26, charged Hammer a month later with ‘violently’ raping her and mistreating her mentally, emotionally, and sexually’ in 2017.
Hammer, who thereafter lost chances to appear on silver screens, claimed that there were “discrepancies in whatever it was that people said” and that he is “now at a [good] place in my life.”
“I’m now at a place where I’m grateful for it because where I was in my life before all of that stuff happened to me I didn’t feel good I never felt satisfied I never had enough I never was in a place where I was happy with myself where I had self-esteem,” Hammer said on the Sunday podcast.
“I never knew how to love myself. I never learned how to validate myself, but I had a career where I could obtain it from so many people that I never had to learn how to do it for myself.
