Emily Blunt remembers her Jungle Cruise movie underwater stunt.
Emily Blunt shared how her kids felt about her 2011 film Jungle Cruise.
“They have seen Jungle Cruise once. “They didn’t like the underwater stuff where I’m trapped and I’m in peril,” the 41-year-old said in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. Blunt told the magazine that her two girls, who she shares with husband actor John Krasinski, “started crying” when they saw her in peril.
Then she remembered, “They left the room.”
Speaking further about her kids’ horrific experience, the Oppenheimer actress said, “They don’t like seeing me on TV. Seeing me portray someone else is unusual, which I understand because I’m their mother.”
Emily Blunt’s co-star Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy agreed with the youngsters’ response.
Neither did I enjoy that. Watching you act that way saddened me,” the Barbie star said.
Blunt talked about doing stunts in movies later in the interview, adding, “I did some wire stuff in Edge of Tomorrow, which was probably more dangerous because I took some spills.”
But “that entrance was very stressful for me with [Mary Poppins Returns],” she said.
Blunt said, “The arrival of the magical nanny has to begin in the sky and descend to the ground. And I have to glide into my close-up like nothing at all.”
“And I did three takes before my tolerance went, ‘Pfft!’ and that was it. “I was done,” she said.
