Recently complaining on Twitter about the music indutry, Singer Bebe Rexha said she felt “undermined” and “punished” for speaking out. Rexha stressed in her tweets her long-standing complaints and the emotional toll they had caused on her. “I could bring down a BIG chunk of this industry. I AM frustrated. I Have been UNDERMINED. I’ve been so quiet for the longest time,” she tweeted. She also noted how clear the symptoms have been, yet since she has spoken up, the business has punished her and silenced her.
As Rexha conveyed her grief and sense of futility, her emotional outpouring persisted. “This is not only from an angry place. She is depressed. She said, seated in her hotel room in London, weeping her eyes out. She was upset, but she also mentioned that seeing supporters on her treks around the city had set something ablaze inside her and given her some hope despite her hardships.
Rexha has had difficulties in her career before this. She was injured in the face in June 2023 by cellphones dropped by a concertgoer during a New York City show. The event, which needed her to see a doctor, brought attention to the physical risks actors run on stage.
