Beetlejuice At the Venice Film Festival, Jenna Ortega and Winona Ryder, the stars of Beetlejuice, recently talked about a viral red carpet scene.

Jenna recalled the occasion when, at the festival red carpet, she instructed Winona not to remove her sunglasses in response to a paparazzi’s request while speaking with a journalist for Hits Radio UK.

The Journalist: “Jenna, the other day at [the Venice Film Festival], it was so powerful when you told Winona that she didn’t have to take off her sunglasses.”

Winona answered, “I think this is my first viral moment! They were screaming, ‘Take your glasses off!’ And I was like, ‘Uhhh.’ And Jenna’s like, ‘No, you don’t have to do that.’ And it was amazing.’”

Indeed, Jenna said, “Yeah, it’s so simple. That’s nothing to praise or applaud. You don’t have to take your glasses off. It was hot. They looked cool.

“We do come from a generation where you’re like: ‘Ugh. OK…” the Stranger Things actress remarked.

On Wednesday, though, the celebrity said, “I think it’s much easier to do it for other people.”

“I feel like if I wore glasses and they told me, I think you would have done it like that,” Jenna said.

“Yeah, like, if they were screaming that at her,” Winona said. Yes, I definitely would have attacked them.

That’s because it’s awkward, Jenna continued.
