Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco sparkled this Fourth of July vacation.
Weeks before their first dating anniversary, the “Only Murders in the Building” singer posted a picture on her Instagram Stories on July 4, showing herself curled with the music producer.
Though Selena, 31, and Benny, 36, have generally kept their relationship secret, they have sometimes talked about their media romance.
“She just is the best, most sincere person I know. Everything is so true,” Benny said to Drew Barrymore on the May 2 broadcast of The Drew Barrymore Show about Selena. “I’ll walk by the mirror as I’m walking to her and I’m looking at myself and I’m like, ‘How did I get here?'”
The two were friends and coworkers before they started dating; they worked on the 2019 song “I Can’t Get Enough,” with producer Tainy and J Balvin.
Benny, a 12-time Grammy-nominated songwriter who also co-wrote many more successful tunes like Selena’s ex Justin Bieber’s 2020 track “Lonely,” claimed that he and his girlfriend started their relationship late July 2023, roughly around her birthday. And he said it was the “Come and Get It” singer who moved first.
On the May 14 edition of The Howard Stern Show, Benny remarked, “She was like, ‘Hey, you want to hang out?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah.'” “I remember sitting there and she’s like, ‘Well, I would have worn something different for this date,’ and I was like, ‘What, we’re on a date?'”
The two are best friends nowadays. “We laugh all f–king day,” he declared. “She inspires me.”
